Zip Isle Zip Line Adventures, one of the many attractions at Botanical World Adventures, was opened to the public on November 24, 2009 with grand opening ceremonies on January 12, 2010.
Planning began to add a zip line attraction in March of 2008, starting with a global search for a partner experienced in zip line construction and operation. The project was approved in April 2008 and by September 2008 we started engineering and final designs.
Construction commenced in October 2009 with six zip lines completed and opened for visitors in November. Dual racing lines were completed in December 2009.
Botanical World Adventure's first attraction, the World Botanical Gardens and Waterfalls, has been open since July 4, 1995 as a holiday destination on the Big Island of Hawaii. We exhibit one of the largest collections of plants in the state with thousands of species planted throughout the gardens.
The gardens include the previously concealed waterfalls now known as Kamaee Falls and Hanapueo Falls with the waters to each flowing from Mauna Kea. The falls are acclaimed by many visitors to be the most pristine and intimate waterfalls in the state of Hawaii. Many other smaller waterfalls are also available for viewing on our property. In addition to the waterfalls, the Rainforest Walk is arguably the most peaceful place in the Gardens.
Botanical World is continually adding new plants to the gardens and new attractions for visitors. Our newest adventure is the Segway Off-Road Adventure, which offers guided Segway tours through the gardens.
